The Age-Old Question

There are certain drams that I hold in great esteem, example being the 1965 Vintage Strathisla 46 Years Old by Gordon & MacPhail being the finest whisky I have owned and enjoyed (thanks to the whisky wife). There are certain distilleries whose spirits rarely if ever disappoint (#Glenfarclas, #TheBalvenie# #Strathisla ,#Dalmore, #Glenmorangie to name a few), some for whom I have an expanding appreciation (examples are #Mortlach, #Longmorn, and #Balblair) and some that many sometimes forget are very good whiskies (#TheGlenfiddich, #TheGlenlivet). And then there is the world of blended whisky and the debate of the choosing the expressions of master blenders versus single malts. For another time....
